The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking responses from qualified entities to provide internal auditing services in compliance with Chapter 2102 of the Texas Government Code, known as the Texas Internal Auditing Act. The objective of these internal auditing services is to deliver independent and objective assurance, along with consulting activities, that will enhance the operational effectiveness of the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD). These auditing services will play a critical role in supporting TCDD in its pursuit of objectives by employing a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The required internal auditing services will primarily emphasize performance auditing and compliance auditing, supplemented by certain consulting services, and may also include financial auditing as needed.
