Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), is requesting proposal from qualified respondents to assist in Inspection Services under the Hurricane Harvey Temporary Housing Program for residents displaced due to Hurricane Harvey in designated areas along the Texas coast and inland. Inspections and site conditions will vary widely and could include inspection services for various home sites, progress inspections as related to the various services, and/or Recreational Vehicle (RV) or Modular Housing Unit (MHU) placement sites or inspections of the RV or MHU placement and hookup. Examples of inspections needed are related to damage that could include minor damage to the exterior of a home (i.e., roof, siding, etc.), major damage caused by rain water, floods, wall failure, floor upheaval, to massive damage where the structure is uninhabitable. Inspections could also include identifying if a site is suitable for placement of an RV or MHU and conditions associated with the hookup of those units. 1. Work requires climbing, bending and stooping and may include exposure to energized electrical services, hazardous materials, open trenches and open heights while performing inspections. 3. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle. 4. Provide a vehicle for use to perform inspections and vehicles must be licensed for use on public streets and licensed in the State of Texas. 5. Time frame for completion: 7-10 days maximum 6.
