Huebner Creek is a 1.4-mile concrete trail featuring sections ranging between 6 feet and 10 feet wide, designed to enhance connectivity to Medical Center Park. The project includes one pedestrian crossing at Babcock Road to enhance connectivity and accessibility. Paved pathways and ADA-compliant walkways will improve accessibility, with pedestrian bridges and scenic overlooks. Site grading and drainage solutions will ensure long-term usability. A trailhead will be constructed at Babcock Road, featuring 39 parking spaces, a concrete drive aisle, and designated spaces for accessibility. Trailhead amenities will include a water fountain, a shade structure, lighting, a port-apotty, informational and wayfinding signage, and a bioswale for sustainable stormwater management. Durable site furnishings, including benches, picnic tables, bike racks, and trash receptacles. Three low-water crossings to facilitate drainage while maintaining trail usability. The trail will provide recreational and transportation benefits, improving community access to green space and outdoor activities The new Medical Center Park will be a vibrant outdoor space designed to enhance community engagement, recreation, and sustainability. It will feature landscaping with native trees and an efficient irrigation system. The new 17 acre park will include a trail and space for recreation, while a modern playground will include interactive and inclusive play structures, complemented by an embankment slide that integrates seamlessly into the landscape. An overlook will be constructed along the trail for respite and reflection.
