Specifications include, but are not limited to: The BRA requests proposals from professionals who are interested in providing Fully Insured Health and Wellness Medical and Rx Insurance Coverage. BRA’s current Medical and Rx provider is Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BSBCTX) with a December 31, 2023, contract end date. Number of Active Full-Time Employees: 240; Number of COBRA: 2; Eligibility of New Hires: 1st of month following 60 days from date of hire. A. Proposals shall be based upon the census provided as part of this RFP. Refer to Section 6, RFP Inquiries, to request this PHI data. B. The BRA is exempt from paying applicable State premium taxes per Chapter 222 of the Texas Insurance Code. All applicable state premium taxes must be excluded from the BRA’s rates. C. All participants enrolled in the Employee Benefits Plan as of 12/31/2023 are to receive immediate coverage under the new plan. All health services incurred on or after January 1, 2024, for currently enrolled participants are to be eligible expenses. The BRA's enrollment records are to be the basis for "take-over." D. Credit is to be given for accumulated deductible, and coinsurance.
