Bastrop County is seeking to enter into a construction contract with a competent contractor with experience in delivering turnkey construction projects. Bastrop County has purchased and is in possession of a 100ft x 40ft pre-engineered metal building that will be constructed on the North side of the existing Kennel A at 589 Cool Water Dr, Bastrop, TX 78602. The following tasks are required for this turnkey project: • Foundation and Concrete Flatwork: CONTRACTOR shall complete site preparation, placement of fill, and foundation construction in accordance with the attached foundation plan that was provided by BEFCO Engineering. • Prefabricated Metal Building: CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor and equipment to erect the pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) per the PEMB Structural Construction Documents that are attached. The building has been purchased by Bastrop County and is on site, including exterior doors, gutters and downspouts. • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing: CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor equipment and materials required to complete all tasks listed in the drawings for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing. • Architectural/Finish-out: CONTRACTOR shall provide all labor, equipment and materials required to complete all tasks listed for the interior finish out as called out in the attached drawings and specifications. CONTRACTOR shall provide floor and CMU coating system to enhance the quality and durability of the concrete floors and CMU walls. Coating systems should be able to withstand daily cleaning with harsh chemical agents to remove urine and fecal contaminants as well as microbial growth and bacteria from concrete. For kennel fencing and gates, CONTRACTOR shall use 9-gauge galvanized chain link with a 2-inch mesh pattern to effectively contain animals and prevent escape. CONTRACTOR shall use heavy-grade, 1-3/8-inch O.D. galvanized framework with a .080 wall thickness. The fence must be robust enough to withstand animals leaning or roughhousing against it and should not have sharp edges or points that could cause injury. All kennels shall have a chain link top installed in order to form an enclosed area.
