Specifications include, but are not limited to: Program Requirements - Training - a. All training will be offered consistent with the training requirements for HIV/STI prevention contractors as outlined at (http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/hivstd/training/default.shtm). b. Conduct training sessions as directed by DSHS HIV/STI Program. c. Provide Learning Management System (LMS) platform. d. Set up virtual and self-paced training courses on LMS platform which will be developed and maintained by the Contractor. e. Develop pre-course and post-course work, including outcome monitoring assessments, for all training courses, obtain DSHS approval, and provide completed pre-course and postcourse work to DSHS. f. Develop curricula for e-learning, self-paced, virtual, and in-person training sessions as directed by DSHS HIV/STI Program. 1. Virtual and in-person courses must include live presentations, general skills building activities, role plays, and participant knowledge and skills demonstrations. 2. Virtual and in-person courses must provide a participant packet with pertinent postcourse reference and continuing education materials. g. Develop and submit a Training Calendar for the initial term (9 months) to DSHS for review and approval by March 15, 2025. Training Calendars for subsequent optional extension terms are to be submitted to DSHS for review and approval prior to start of term by October 31. Any changes to approved Training Calendars will require DSHS approval. DSHS, at its sole discretion, will select location to conduct in-person training from the allowable locations list. Contactor will submit the recommendation to DSHS for in-person physical training session locations no later than 45 days prior to the session date for DSHS review and approval. All approved Training Calendars and any subsequent changes or updates will be published and promoted by DSHS and Contractor. h. Ensure that training staff receive opportunities for staff development annually. i. A training observation plan for training staff must be in place within 90 calendar days from the Contract Effective Date and updated as needed annually. j.
