Grounds weed control, herbicide, and ant bait must be sprayed and/or applied at the proper label dilution rate. LISD expects: 1. All weeds not responding to chemical applications should be physically removed; and 2. All running tracks at any school need to be weed free. All chemicals must be safe for use on public schools. Please make sure this statement is on the chemicals that are on the bid. Coordinate each spraying on each campus with the campus principal or department personnel and Integrated Pest Management Coordinator. Chemicals: Do not apply any pesticides from 2 hours before the start of school or until 1 hour after school. Do not apply any pesticides during extra-curricular activities, including, but not limited to, athletics and band marching, which take place in the affected area of pesticides application. All specific pesticides labels shall be submitted to LISD Facility Services personnel prior to application, along with written request for use and intended application rates. No pesticides shall be applied without written approval of LISD.
