A. Scope: The contractor shall furnish equipment for two (2) shaftless grit classifiers. Each classifier shall consist of a grit cyclone, settling hopper and trough, drive assembly, shaftless spiral, and all other appurtenances required or shown on the drawings. Reuse existing electrical controls. Facility staff will complete the installation of provided equipment. B. Supplier: The equipment specified in this section shall be the WesTech Gritt MittTM Shaftless Classifier Model GSF31. Substitute equipment must be modified as necessary to provide the specified features and to meet the specified requirements. C. The contractor shall include in his bid any channel, structural, piping, valves or any other modifications necessary for a complete and operable system. No additional compensation will be given to the Contractor for any modifications to the construction drawing details for furnishing and installing an equivalent manufacturer’s equipment.
