Specifications include, but are not limited to: Lamar University is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified independent contractors interested in providing graphic design services for a variety of materials related to Lamar University and individual departments and programs. Lamar University has a strong visual brand and an established, professional identity and seeks to maintain this consistency and high quality. The intent is to pre-qualify one or more designers to meet an array of needs including print, electronic, web, and video projects. Lamar University is looking to pre-qualify one or more designers to work with our communications team on projects in two ways: 1) on a retainer basis for ongoing work regarding organization or program brands, or 2) on a per-project basis for discrete works. Lamar University strives to maintain a consistent style across individual programs and a complementary style among the programs that supports the parent brand. From our visual presence, we hope to express our universitys creativity, vibrancy, and professionalism. Selected designer(s) will likely be assigned to a specific program or project within the organization for the duration of that project, and will be expected to produce a range of materials from handouts and brochures to logos and style guides thus versatility and enthusiasm for all aspects of the design process are a must. Designers may be asked to respond to the follow project requests: - Marketing materials including brochures, mailers, posters, fliers, invitations, postcards, greeting cards, table tents, promotional/specialty items, etc. - 60+/- page magazine produced twice each year, mailed May and October - Organization publications such as research publications and newsletters - Branding and identity work such as logos, work marks, and style guides - Original illustrations, architectural renderings, and photo manipulation for both print and web - Formatting and layout - Supplemental materials such as handouts, packets, etc. - Presentation materials - Other projects as needed
