7.1 Scope of Services to be Performed The required services to be provided are conference space for four (4) GETAC meetings in January, March, June and August. The Department of State Health Services Consumer Protection Division’s EMS Trauma Systems Section is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Governor’s EMS Trauma Advisory Council (GETAC) meetings. These meetings are held quarterly. The purpose of GETAC is to advise the department regarding matters related to the responsibilities of EMS trauma system development and rules pertaining to the EMS trauma system to include the designation of trauma and stroke facilities as well as the licensure of prehospital personnel and providers. GETAC is required to meet four times per year in Austin. The Council is supported by ten committees that complete its work. GETAC/Agency Responsibilities: GETAC requires 3 meeting rooms for 3 full consecutive days. The largest room must accommodate at least 250 individuals which includes the stakeholders and GETAC members. The room set-up required is horseshoe setup, with auditorium seating. The Open Meetings require the room set-up for in-person and virtual attendance with streaming capabilities. Multiple large screen monitors that allow participants in the back of the room to see the screens, and IT resources and assistance until 7 pm is necessary.
