Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of this project will include the purchase, configuration, and installation of Cisco (or equivalent) broadband equipment (switches, network modules, optical modules, and possibly other components). The contractor will be responsible for removing existing equipment where applicable (and transporting it to a designated storage facility), installing new equipment, making all necessary interconnections, and verifying that the campus network is fully functional. The existing Cisco 4500X network equipment present at approximately 40 campuses will be removed and transported to AISD storage facilities as part of this project. The new broadband equipment will be installed in its place, and some additional equipment may be installed as necessary. AISD will provide detailed instructions for network design, site survey templates, configuration templates, installation procedures, documentation procedures, and coordinate scheduling with the campuses. The contractor will be expected to provide experienced staff with adequate expertise in project management and broadband technologies to comply with the implementation standards required by AISD.
