Scheduled Quarterly Preventive Maintenance Services; Preventive maintenance is any service performed to existing or new forklifts, to include, but not limited to: a) Replacing worn, damaged, or non-working parts; b) Inspecting batteries to include checking water level, signs of corrosion on battery cables and receptacles, and testing battery charge; c) Inspect oil, air, and fuel filters, and belts and change as appropriate d) Lubricating all mechanical moving parts of the equipment’s engine; e) Changing oil and all other fluids necessary to keep the forklift in working conditionf) Checking tire pressure and replacing tires, as needed; g) Checking machine (compressed air); h) Inspecting brake pedal linkage for proper adjustment; i) Inspecting brake system (repair as needed); j) Inspecting lift and tilt cylinders for leaks; k) Checking all electrical connections; l) Performing safety inspection; m) Checking upright assembly for proper adjustment and lubricate as necessary; n) Checking hydraulic sump filter cap; clean or replace as necessary. o) Checking hydraulic oil level; fill if necessary. p) Checking and lubricating all connecting shafts and levers.
