Every product bid must meet all USDA and TDA regulations for use in School Nutrition Programs (SNPs). COMPLIANCE with TRANS-FAT FREE; FAT CONTENT; SUGAR CONTENT; AND JUICE CONTENT The USDA has required districts to comply with serving only: • Trans-Fat Free products; • Fat Content must not exceed more than 23 grams of fat in any and all products; • Sugar Content must not contain 30 grams of sugar in any and all products; • Juice Content must be 100% juice, Therefore, it is mandatory for any vendor who wishes to participate in this bid process to adhere to the above criteria. By submitting this bid, the respondent has read and understands the above Trans-Fat Free; Fat Content; Sugar Content; and Juice Ratio bid requirements and agree to comply. COMPLIANCE with SMART SNACKS IN SCHOOL 7 CFR Parts 210 and 220: USDA requires all food offered in districts under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program meet Smart Snacks in Schools standards. COMPLIANCE with COMMODITY INDIRECT SALES VALUE PASS THROUGH (VPT) The USDA requires distributors, in regard to all sales of commodity products (pounds), that said sales be tracked and accounted for in accordance to USDA government processing requirements. The electronic data transfer must transfer invoice data from distributor to manufacturer to accurately account for receipt of commodity products by recipient agencies (school district customers).
