The City of Rio Grande City is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractor for facility improvements of the Fort Ringgold Pool / Waterpark. The purpose of these specifications is to describe the minimum requirements of the Parks & Recreation Department for the facility improvements contract. This project generally includes, but is not limited to the renovations and improvements to the existing facilities, accessibility improvements, safety features, and associated site work. The Base Bid will include the following facility improvements: • supply and install 100’ x 200’ roof cover; approx. 2,000 sq. ft. metal structure • structure to be built with I-beam trusses, 100% welded, made entirely of steel; primed and painted black fir maximum protection against rust • roof panels will be galvanized color panels with a 25-year manufacturer warranty • materials and labor for building construction • approx. 115 yards of concrete • materials and labor for the foundation • demolition, site restoration, and related appurtenances; The Alternates will include the following facility improvements: • Alternate #1: construction of restroom facility with changing rooms • Alternate #2: construction of a small concession stand
