Contractor will provide reliable, shuttle service transportation for Parkland based on mutually approved routes. The Shuttle Service route will travel between three (3) location points: (1) Ground Floor Plaza outside the old ED Garage Elevator Lobby (5222 Southwestern Medical Avenue). (2) Trinity Railway Express (TRE) Medical/Market Center Station (5117 Southwestern Medical Avenue). (3) Employee Entrance of the New Parkland Hospital (5200 Harry Hines Blvd.). **The distance along roadways between these locations is 0.7 miles and typically takes 5-6 minutes to travel in a vehicle. This route is shown in diagram below. Shuttle bus services will run in ten (10) minute departure increments on a 24/7, 365-day basis. Departure times may require adjustment from time to time based on volume. Shuttles on average make about 384 trips in a 24-hour period. The routes are subject to change throughout the term of the contract, as volumes dictate. 1. Service Vehicles: Contractor shall: a. Provide an adequate number of safe and secure shuttle buses to accommodate the established transportation schedule. 2. Vehicle requirements: Contractor shall: a. Provide shuttle buses that comply with Federal, State, and local statutory requirements for disabled passenger accessibility. b. Ensure shuttle buses are disability-accessible with wheelchair-access and rails for stand-up riders. c. Provide shuttle buses that are three (3) years old or less and in good physical and mechanical condition.
