EPE intends to use the EVSE procured through this RFP to support its NEVI funding application and, if awarded, to deploy, operate, and maintain a publicly accessible, high-speed EV charging station that: • Includes four (4) DC fast chargers, each capable of delivering a minimum of 150 kW per port. Vendors must also provide an optional proposal and pricing for chargers rated at 400 kW per port. Pricing for both 150 kW and 400 kW options must be clearly itemized. • Supports dual charging protocols, including at least one SAE Combined Charging System (CCS) and at least one CHAdeMO port • Third-party certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), National Electrical Manufacturers Association, etc. • Ensures full network interoperability, remote diagnostics, and open communication protocols such as OCPP 2.0.1 • EV charging stations should have cell service or free Wi-Fi available to customers. • Provides multiple payment options and complies with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) • Offers a safe, reliable, durable, and accessible charging experience for all EV users, including individuals with disabilities • Meets or exceeds NEVI’s 97% annual uptime requirement • EV charging station platform must be fully accessible, designed to minimize barriers for people with disabilities and must be compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), with wheelchair accessibility and Section 504 requirements, specifically ensuring minimal cross-slope, appropriate height of the charger’s user interface screen, and adequate space for exiting and entering the vehicle, unobstructed access to the EV charging stations, free movement around the EV charging station and connection point to the vehicle and wheelchair load/unload zone, clear paths and close proximity to building entrances.
