- Contractor security guards shall protect the HHS Agency and individuals from, at minimum, physical harm to person and body, verbal abuse and harassment, threats and acts of violence, fire, theft, vandalism and intentional damage and trespassing. - Contractor shall be available twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, including holidays. - Contractor shall have a dispatch center twenty-four (24) hours, seven (7) days per week, including holidays. - Contractor shall be familiar with and knowledgeable of HHS parking security procedures. - Contractor shall have and utilize as needed all emergency phone numbers of local first responders including, at minimum, peace officers, paramedics, firefighters, detention officers, county jailers, or emergency medical service employees. - Contractor shall provide and maintain a daily activity report. Report shall include, at minimum, all routine and non-routine security checks and all activity that is considered unusual or disruptive. - When requested by the HHS Agency, Contractor shall provide additional security guards when HHS Agency requires more than one (1) security guard per service location in order to guarantee uninterrupted coverage at HHS facility. - If one (1) on-duty security guard is required at a service location and must leave his/her post for any reason, the Contractor shall provide a replacement security guard on-site within two (2) hours. - Contractor security guards shall remain alert and aware of surroundings and activity at all times. - Contractor security guard shall make eye contact and acknowledge HHS Agency staff and visitors to demonstrate presence and awareness. - Contractor security guard shall not visit or socialize with HHS Agency staff and visitors or allow any unnecessary distractions that may prevent the guard’s full attention to the assigned duties. - Contractor security guard shall refer all visitor inquiries to the HHS Agency receptionist or front desk personnel. - Contractor security guard shall remain within proximity of the security station, except when performing routine site monitoring duties. - Contractor security guard shall notify HHS Agency designee prior to leaving security station and provide purpose of departure. All departures from security station shall be recorded on daily activity report including, at minimum, time, and purpose for departure.
