Engineering design for the backup power generator system including development of plans, specifications and cost estimates. The scope of work includes but not limited to the following components to ensure the City has an onsite alternate power source to run critical items at the LSPS: • Diesel Generator • Fuel tank • Transfer switches • Control panels • Electrical and mechanical items to integrate into the Pump Station. The current power requirements for the pump station and chlorination equipment is 1200 Amps 480 / 3 Phase Service and is provided from the following Transformer: RS0852 – 18717 – 750KVA/277/480. There are 4 MCC Centrifugal Pumps located in pump house (two – 350 hp pumps & two - 2- SPEED 200/100 hp pumps). Typical yearly operation is to run 2 pumps at any one time, typically one 350 hp and one 2 speed pump. For sizing the power supply, assume running both 350 hp pumps which would produce 32,500 gpm (19,000 gpm and 13,500 gpm).
