Consultant’s work shall generally consist of coordinating and mobilizing necessary manpower and equipment to provide and/or facilitate: damage assessments; project management; communication with insurance providers; negotiation of claims; construction management; cost engineering; estimating; quality assurance and inspections; tracking disaster costs; and assisting with applications for grant reimbursement. In addition, the work will include, but shall not be limited to, the following: a. Swiftly responding to City’s activation of this Contract; b. Employing and mobilizing qualified staff and necessary equipment to assist the City; c. Utilizing cost controls, accountability procedures, written reports, and submittals to ensure the City will be able to meet the requirements for reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) or other entities that may provide grant funding for disaster recovery and restoration; d. Coordinating with the City and other partners to ensure the most effective and efficient response possible.
