A. During each cycle the Contractor will remove all litter and debris that would be detrimental to the appearance of the area. Removal of debris includes, but is not limited to dirt, silt, twigs, leaves, cigarette butts, paper, plastic, glass or metal debris that is loose and not part of the building, sidewalk, street or landscape. Removal includes, but is not limited to, curb, gutter, street and sidewalk debris removal. B. All temporary signage such as advertisement on light poles, utility boxes, trash cans or any other utility poles be considered trash under the City’s code. Political signage will be removed by the City. C. All debris that is swept from these locations are to be removed and hauled away to the contractor’s source of disposal and not placed in City dumpsters or trash cans and or swept or blown into the streets or roadways. D. Any graffiti on the sidewalks, benches, signs or other City-owned structures will be removed at that time during the maintenance cycle. If graffiti is located on a vertical wall or window of a business front notify the Parks Department immediately. E. All decorative landscape pots are not included in this scope of work. F. The four (4) sides of the Denton County Courthouse sidewalks and parking are not a part of this contract. Only the business fronts. G. If any locations specified are not cleaned to specification of the contract the location will be re-cleaned at no additional cost to the City of Denton. The City representative shall decide if the entire area in question requires re-cleaning or only a designated portion. H. Maintenance of the City’s trash receptacles, benches corner bump-outs, and tree pits are located within the General Service Area.
