The Argyle Independent School District (AISD) requests written qualification statements from qualified firms to provide Delinquent Tax Collection Attorney Services on an as needed basis, to commence August 1, 2025 for two years through June 30, 2027, with options to extend for additional one year periods as needed to provide attorney tax collection services and projects yet to be determined. The District may elect to contract with one or more firms for any or all of the proposed services after negotiations. Tax Collection Attorneys will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties and services: 1) Preparing delinquent tax reports and updates based on data provided by the Denton County Tax Office. 2) Preparing and sending such notices to delinquent taxpayers as may be required by law and/or as may be advisable for the purpose of expediting collections. 3) Filing lawsuits against delinquent taxpayers to foreclose tax liens and otherwise facilitate collection of delinquent taxes. 4) Advising the District on legal issues that arise in the process of delinquent tax collections; including proposed and/or new legislation for current and delinquent tax collections. 5) Providing such additional services as District officials, Tax Assessor/Collector, or tax collection attorneys’ may deem advisable to expedite and enhance the collection of delinquent taxes.
