2.2.1 Objectives 1. Ensure accurate and timely abstraction of clinical data from patient health records. 2. Support compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body requirements. 3. Facilitate participation in national and state registries, accreditation programs, and quality initiatives. 4. Provide standardized and ad-hoc reporting capabilities to support clinical leadership, quality improvement, and accreditation surveys. 5. Establish scalable services that can expand as UTMB grows and pursues additional accreditations. 2.2.2 Service Lines in Scope Vendors should address their ability to provide abstraction and registry reporting for the following service lines: 1. Quality – Core measures and other quality improvement reporting requirements. 2. Stroke – Including but not limited to The Joint Commission’s Stroke Certification standards and associated registry submissions. 3. Cardiac – Registries such as ACC, AHA, and other cardiovascular accreditation requirements. 4. Orthopedics – Including joint replacement and musculoskeletal outcome registries. 5. Cancer – Oncology registry reporting, including Commission on Cancer accreditation standards. 6. Trauma – Trauma registry abstraction and reporting for state and national accreditation. 7. Obstetrics – maternal health during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum Additional service lines may be added in the future as UTMB expands its footprint and accreditation levels (e.g., perinatal, neonatal, transplant, etc.).
