Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this RFP and resulting contract is to secure a qualified contractor(s) to provide custodial services for the City of Allen (COA) park facilities. The intent of this RFP and resulting contract is to secure a qualified contractors(s) to provide custodial services for the City of Allen, Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center (“COA”, “City of Allen”, or “STRC”) at 1680 West Exchange Parkway Drive, Allen, Texas 75013. The building square footage is 149,000 square feet, approximately 140,000 of which will require custodial services. The Competition Gym and Recreation Gym comprise of 59,414 of the square footage. Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center is open seven (7) days a week, 362 days a year (restricted hours on or near holidays) and is a non-smoking facility. STRC will be closed for holiday on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day; General - At each facility, the contractor is responsible for cleaning the entire building excluding the mechanical and electrical rooms and any areas designated by the Parks & Recreation Department. The information provided in this section is not intended to be a substitute for site inspection and verification of scope and difficulty of work to be performed. It is the intent of this RFP to obtain a custodial maintenance program for the facility. Such services shall provide labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and supervision for the performance of the projected work. The ultimate responsibility of the successful contractor is to provide facilities that are uniformly clean, hygienic, orderly, and attractive, which will reflect favorably upon the City of Allen and the Contractor. Variances in user traffic, building renovation work, weather conditions and other uncontrollable and unpredictable factors will determine the actual frequency requirements to maintain COA standards.
