Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Crow Museum of Asian Art is seeking a vendor or vendors to provide various services for fine art handling. These services include, but are not limited to: • Art installation for a new exhibit • Art de-installation for an outgoing exhibit • Preparing art for transport (Soft Packing, Hard Packing, and/or Crate Packing) • Art Transportation • Secure Storage • Specialized fabrication/construction of containers for transportation, if/when needed • Specialized fabrication/construction of cases, 2D shields, special mounts, etc. for various types of art media • Provision of other materials necessary for installation, security, and/or transportation of art The primary goal of the Crow Museum of Asian Art is to display art in the form of Exhibitions for public consumption. Opening and closing dates are critical to printing, marketing and loan contracts related to the art. Because of the inflexibility of the timing for when Art Exhibitions are ready, and because of the relatively small and specialized industry of Fine Art Handling Services, there is a potential need to award to multiple vendors in order to ensure that if one vendor is not available, another can be engaged in order to meet timelines.
