Specifications include, but are not limited to:• Plan and Implementation of community-focused initiatives. o Develop a turnkey community engagement plan that can be utilized by the City and partners to conduct community engagement activities related to various aspects of the Esperanza plan, including recommendations for seeking engagement and feedback related to community needs, education and workforce programming needs, public safety needs and perspectives, etc. o Conduct a landscape analysis of both governmental and nonprofit organizations that offer programs and services within the Esperanza community and/or that significantly, primarily or exclusively target residents of the area and create an inventory of available community services serving the Esperanza community (including but not limited to workforce, education and early childhood, social and recreational services). o Assist the Office of Community Care, Office of Equity & Inclusion and other City departments in the development of a proof of concept for a potential community center to address unique needs of the Esperanza community with an equity and inclusion lens. This process would include the engagement of Dallas County and community partners at the directive of the City.
