Specifications include, but are not limited to:A. The Elevator Tower Addition Project for the Tim Curry Criminal Justice Center (TCCJC) will provide an additional elevator tower, centrally located on the exterior west side of 3 the building. The new addition has a footprint of approximately 400 square feet. The purpose of the new elevators is to increase vertical flow from the Lower Plaza through the 9th Floor. B. The new elevators will not extend down to the Basement Level. The new elevators will run from the Lower Plaza, Plaza Level, and Levels 2 through 9 for a total of ten (10) Floors. The new elevators will be considered Mid-Rise. C. The new Elevator Tower Addition will include three (3) 3,500 lb. passenger elevators and one (1) 4,500 lb. passenger elevator. The new exterior entrance vestibule and corridor is created by the overhang of the existing building from the Lower Plaza Level up to Level 2. The upper floors will abut from the existing building. D. The Exterior Finishes of the new addition will match the existing building with brick masonry, cast stone, granite accents, and spandrel glass in the aluminum window frames surrounding the elevator shafts. The construction is brick masonry veneer on metal studs, structural steel framing, concrete piers, and composite concrete floor slabs. E. The Interior Finishes include hollow metal door frames, hollow metal and solid core wood doors, gypsum board walls and ceilings, suspended acoustical ceiling tile and grid, carpet tile, granite tile, terrazzo, large format wall tile, cast stone, paint, and solid surfacing. F. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPFE) systems will tie into existing systems in the main building. Plumbing will be added as required for elevator sump pumps and roof drains. New Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes will be added or will replace existing boxes to extend ductwork to the new addition. Electrical will be adding a small emergency generator for the new elevators in an existing Mechanical Room on the Lower Plaza Level. Electrical will also include power and lighting for the new addition, new elevator controls, which will tie into all existing controls, security systems and technology.
