Project #1: • The current lobby of BC Central includes seating and some other lobby furniture for waiting and/or working and is generally used in conjunction with the student services area that is adjacent. A help desk exists in the lobby area but is occupied by the Counseling Center and does not function as a general help desk. This project will consist of improved campus wayfinding signage, interactive student services kiosks, and improved surfaces to create a more welcoming and easily navigable space that students can use without need for interaction with multiple parties. This project will include improved layout to accommodate process flow including renovation of adjacent offices, IT upgrades, one-stop style kiosks, finish upgrades, and lighting upgrades. Construction will consist of incorporating new departmental operating processes to be incorporated into the design process. • The space currently being used as the campus bookstore is being converted into a tech lounge. This space will include different styles of workstations, standing desks, and low seating, all with access to power and data. Renovation costs will include new flooring, finishes, upgraded IT infrastructure, new furniture, new lighting, and mounted wall monitors and smart boards. Retail space for the bookstore will be maintained. This space may be incorporated into the Commons Dining Refurbishment. • The Commons Dining Refurbishment will include replacement on the flooring, new finishes on walls, updated lighting, and modern furniture and monitors. Renovation does not include kitchen space or equipment and line serving space but may be included in the design process. • The space currently being used as The Swamp (student rec and game room) will undergo aesthetic renovations to accommodate the social and interactive well-being of students and guests. Costs will include walls, ceilings, flooring, IT, furnishings and some space renovations. Project #2: • New Construction of an additional PET plant will be constructed on the north side of the BASF building. This will require new slab, fencing, and lighting. A companion space for a control room will be renovated within a portion of the BASF building. Project costs include slab, fencing, lighting, and renovation with the remaining budget allocated to cover an undetermined percentage of the equipment costs. Project #3 & #4: • Police Offices/Gator Mart. Renovation of the 12,000 sf Children’s Development Center will include space designed for Campus Police and the Gator Mart. Projects will include construction of a police command and control center, storage, offices, IT, shower/locker room, mechanical and electrical including a stand-alone generator, and space reconfiguration. Renovation of the Children’s Development Center will also consist of renovation of space allocated for the Gator Mart, a 3000- 4000 sf food pantry and storage facility to include movable commercial grade coolers, freezers, display storage bins/racks, dry storage, restroom, loading dock and minimal kitchen facilities. Site work for traffic flow will be included. • Sadler Building renovation in vacated Gator Mart space. Refurbishment will be restoring the space to modern classroom standards. Project costs will include paint, flooring, IT, furnishings, and A/V.
