The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) intends to send 12 staff to the Preparedness Summit in San Antonio, Texas. The Preparedness Summit is a part of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and this conference will present our staff with a wide variety of opportunities for networking, and sharing of information with other Public Health professionals. This information includes but is not limited to research findings, tools and resources, etc. Attendance of this conference will help our staff learn how to implement practices that will help Minnesota do our part in enhancing the nations capabilities for disaster and other emergency scenarios. This conference has been deemed a single source as NACCHO is the only organization in the nation that holds this specific tailored training to Public Health professionals, and these services are not available by any other means.
