Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Objective: Develop a comprehensive tourist map for Brownsville that showcases various attractions, streets, landmarks, and other points of interest, enabling visitors to navigate the city and explore its offerings. 2. Map Design Requirements: 2.1.The map should be visually appealing, user-friendly, and easily readable. 2.2.Map should be able to fit our pocketmap sizes (Attachment F): 2.3.It should have a clear and intuitive layout, providing a detailed depiction of attractions, streets, landmarks, parks, and public facilities within Brownsville. 2.4.The map should highlight key visitor destinations, including but not limited to museums, historical sites, recreational areas, shopping districts, and popular eateries. 2.5.The design should incorporate a distinct color scheme and typography that aligns with Brownsville's brand identity. 2.6.To enhance legibility, the map should feature appropriate scaling, labeling, and symbols to represent different types of attractions, transportation, and amenities. 2.7.It should provide accurate geospatial information, ensuring the displayed locations correspond to their actual coordinates. 2.8.Consideration should be given to the integration of supplementary information such as transportation routes, parking facilities, public transit stops, and accessibility options for individuals with disabilities. 2.9.The map design should be suitable for both digital and print formats, allowing for easy distribution through various channels. 3. Map Production and Updates: 3.1.The selected vendor shall provide all resources necessary to create, produce, and deliver the final map files. 3.2.The vendor should include the implementation of a scalable and efficient process to update the map periodically, ensuring its relevance and accuracy over time. 3.3.Updates may include additions of new attractions, modifications to existing landmarks, changes in street names or addresses, and other relevant updates. 3.4.The vendor should propose a reasonable update schedule and provide a cost-effective plan for incorporating future changes seamlessly. 4. Quality Assurance: 4.1. The map design must undergo thorough quality control checks to verify accuracy, readability, and compliance with the specified requirements. 4.2.The vendor should provide sample images or prototypes for review and approval during the design and development process. 4.3.Final deliverables should adhere to industry standards for print or digital production, ensuring the highest quality output.
