Specifications include, but are not limited to: Port Arthur Independent School District is accepting proposals from vendors to accommodate the needs of our students in the area of college entrance exam test preparation. The vendor’s program should provide an instructor or professional development for our certified teachers to deliver curriculum and instructional and testing strategies to students in grades 9-12. The program should focus on TSI, SAT, and ACT test preparation, including materials (books, resources) students will utilize to build their test taking skills. In addition, the vendor should provide an online component for student’s access to independently simulate testing of the aforementioned exams. The provider must also be able to perform the following: • Reinforce English and Math foundational skills • Provide professional developments to peer teachers • Design programs for grades 9-12 to engage in learning and critical thinking skills • Monitor and Track student progress through reports • Provide practice simulation testing materials for students to practice so they can master these standardized tests required to enter college • Provide instruction on the different writing styles that may be presented on the college entrance exams • Provide Reading Strategies • Provide extra skills to students to master word problems • Provide tutoring services for the SAT, ACT and TSI Tests • Provide a syllabus outlining development strategies for students • Create Online programs for students to read, study, and apply during review times
