Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide controlled room temperature (CRT) warehouse storage, refrigerated and frozen warehouse storage, and transport and temperature monitoring services for supplies, products and materials received from various entities related to a public health emergency response, training, or exercise as requested by Department of State Health Services (DSHS). a) Supplies, products, and materials to be stored shall include, at minimum, personal protective equipment (PPE), liquid medications, pills, vaccines, and intravenous therapy (IV) medical products. b) All supplies, products and materials shall be stored in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Contractor shall maintain and provide, upon DSHS request, a continuous temperature log monitoring all cold chain inventory during storage and transport. Contractor warehouse must have a fully operational temperature alarm and notification system to alert Contractor personnel if required temperatures fall outside an acceptable range. a) Storage requirements for vaccines are as follows: Storage requirements for vaccines TPOXX Capsule • Store capsules in the original bottle at 68°F to 77°F; excursions permitted 59°F to 86°F TPOXX Injection • Store TPOXX injection in a refrigerator at 36°F to 46°F. Do not freeze. • The diluted solution(s) of TPOXX injection with either 0.9% (w/v) sodium chloride (normal saline) or 5% (w/v) dextrose solution should be used within four (4) hours of preparation if stored at room temperature or within 24 hours of preparation if stored at 36°F to 46°. JYNNEOS Vaccine • Keep frozen at -13°F to 5°F. • Store in the original package to protect from light. • Do not re-freeze a vial once it has been thawed. • Once thawed, the vaccine may be kept at 36°F to 46°F for 8 weeks. • After first puncture, vial can be stored at 36°F to 46°F for up to 8 hours. • Do not use the vaccine after the expiration date shown on the vial label b) Contractor shall take corrective measures to mitigate inventory loss due to temperature variance. Measures shall include, at minimum and as applicable, use of dry ice or temperature-controlled containers.
