Specifications include, but are not limited to: The required services to be provided are clinical laboratory services on STAT and as needed basis for Rusk State Hospital (RSH). a) Contractor shall accurately process laboratory tests and provide results within time frames as agreed upon between Contractor and RSH. b) Contractor must establish a turnaround time for STAT results within two (2) hours after the specimen is delivered and received in the reference lab from RSH. Contractor shall maintain files and records which may include lab results and lab orders and other items designated by RSH. c) RSH reserves the right to add and/or remove test at any time during the contract without penalties or additional cost from the Contractor. d) Contractor shall provide reference laboratory courier services as needed and as requested by the RSH. e) Contractor courier shall adhere to any required screening procedure to enter a facility in the Health and Specialty Care System. Upon arrival at the front gate, a screening may be conducted to include but not be limited to a forehead temperature check and health screening questionnaire to be permitted to enter the premises. f) Unforeseen delays due to unanticipated events such as inclement weather to include snow/ice or flooding on roadways, heavy traffic to include vehicular accidents and stopping traffic, and lost specimens will be handled on an individual basis. Contingency plans include pick-up and delivery at a later date or time and possible recollection of the specimen. Contractor will not be held responsible for those events out of their control. g) If the original test result appears to be inconsistent with the clinical evaluation, RSH shall request the Contractor, at no cost to RSH, to perform a retest to verify the accuracy of the test results. h) The Contractor shall be available to RSH staff for consultation pertaining to laboratory testing results as needed. Contractor availability shall be during regular business hours of RSH. i) Contractor laboratory information system is owned and maintained by the Contractor. RSH shall view test results and print reports, as needed, via a secure internet web portal. j) During the Contract Term, Contractor, at its sole cost and expense, shall ensure that the system remains operational and compliant with Contract requirements. The system shall be maintained in accordance with applicable industry standards which include the timely deployment of the latest security patches and updates. In addition, Contractor shall comply with all Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) IT requirements to ensure secure data transmission of Protected Health Information (PHI) during the Contract Term. 1. Contractor system is HIPAA compliant. 2. Contractor IT Support must be available 24/7 Monday through Friday.
