These technical specifications contain references to City of El Paso - Title 19 – Subdivision Ordinance – Design Standards for Construction, Texas Department of Transportation Departmental Materials Specifications, Texas Department of Transportation Departmental Preformed Thermoplastic Pavement Markings Specification SA-90, Texas Department of Transportation Test Methods, ASTM Standards, NEC Codes, NEMA, ANSI, ITE, MUTCD, ANSI/AWS, ISMA, AASHTO and other professional or technical organizations. 1.1.2. It shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor to be cognizant of the referenced materials and be familiar where the contractor can research, view and/or obtain the said referenced materials. 1.1.3. Each standard, code and specification referred to shall be considered a part of the specification to the same extend as if reproduced therein in full. 1.1.4. The pavement markings are to be applied at various locations and times through out the city. Marking indicated as being wider than 8 inches are crosswalks, stop bars, begin and end bars, and other various markings. 1.1.5. The Reflective Pavement Markings, White, Solid vary in size usually 75’ to 120’ in length and are located through out the project. 1.1.6. Special Provisions and General Notes are to the current or revised standards that are in effect at time of proposal. If revisions occur during the contract period the specification that supersedes the reference standard at time of award shall be followed unless otherwise directed.
