The City of Garland, Economic Development Department is seeking proposals from firms to assist in the administration of a recently awarded Brownfield Assessment Grant. This effort aims to assess various brownfield throughout the City and address environmental issues that may stand in the way of future redevelopment of sites within Garland. 1.) Community Engagement The chosen firm will be expected to have a detailed understanding of brownfields, both individually and in relation to the City of Garland, in addition to the grant structure. The firm should aim to implement a robust outreach strategy, working to provide residents with a foundational understanding of the upcoming project. Outreach strategies include marketing tools to promote the program, such as printed materials and an easy to navigate webpage.
