Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Outreach, recruitment and marketing strategies to citizenship-eligible individuals – Program activities shall include coordinated community-based outreach for recruiting eligible citizenship applicants. Strategies for outreach shall be described in the proposal template. Outreach efforts must include City of Dallas departments. Contract recipients shall coordinate coverage at a myriad of community opportunities to promote the #MyDallas Citizenship workshop 2. Legal screenings to determine citizenship eligibility – Comprehensive legal screenings shall be conducted by contract recipients to determine the eligibility for naturalization of individuals seeking service. 3. Post-screening referrals with effective follow up to: a. #MyDallas Citizenship workshops - Individuals found eligible for naturalization should be scheduled immediately for one of two #MyDallas Citizenship workshops that contract recipients will collaboratively conduct. b. Citizenship education providers for individuals needing preparation help – Individuals needing educational services (ESL, Civics etc.) should be provided a “warm” referral to a community partner appropriate to the service needed. The referral should be followed up on to ensure follow through. c. Authorized legal service providers for individuals with complex immigration histories - Individuals found to have complex immigration histories should be referred for individualized assistance to a DOJ program or attorney depending on the nature of the issues identified. The referral should be followed up on to ensure follow through.
