Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Town Special Events and Day Camp Programs Transportation needs: Summer Camps - Provide two (2) buses with driver(s) one (1) time each week for Summer Camp field trips. Field trips typically take place the same day each week but may be scheduled any day Monday-Friday. Pick-up times on field trip days will begin no earlier than 9:00 a.m. with a return to pick-up location being no later than 3:30p.m. Field trip locations change weekly and can be throughout the DFW Metro-plex. Each bus should be full-size and seat a minimum of 52 riders. Duration of the summer camp program varies from 9-11 weeks depending on the local School Districts annual calendar.; Spring Break and Holiday Camps - Provide one (1) bus with driver one (1) time during the week for the Spring Break and Holiday Camps. The Spring Break camp is held in the month of March and corresponds with the local School Districts calendar. Holiday Camps are offered the week of Thanksgiving and the weeks surrounding Christmas and New Year’s. Field trips for these camps may be scheduled any day Monday-Friday. Pick-up time for field trip day will be no earlier than 9:00 a.m. with a return to pick-up location being no later than 3:30 p.m. Field trip locations change weekly and can be throughout the DFW Metro-plex. Bus should be full-size and seat a minimum of 52 riders. ; B. Provide on-site support/ground crew for the Independence Fest. On-site support should at a minimum consist of a non-driving supervisor, ground traffic control staff and mechanical support. Buses need to be equipped with a twoway communication system capable of communicating directly between driver(s) and non-driving supervisor and/or mechanic.; C. Selected company will meet with Town Parks and Recreation staff prior to each event and/or camp program to discuss dates, times, schedules, routes, logistics and other details of the event or program.; D. Each bus must meet the minimum seating requirements listed above and be new or like new condition. Under carriage or overhead storage capability is preferred. Each bus should have a functioning air conditioning system.; E. Selected company must ensure all driver(s) maintain, in good standing, all required licenses to operate the specific bus(es) used for each event. Driver should be familiar with predetermined routes prior to arrival and maintain a safe environment throughout the trip.
