a. The district aims to establish a qualified list of contractors capable of providing charter bus services for student and/or employee travel. b. Charter bus services will be utilized solely for school-related functions, including but not limited to: • Athletic events (away games, playoff games, etc.); • Educational field trips (museums, etc.); • University Interscholastic League (UIL) field trips (band competitions, dance competitions, fine arts, etc.); • Extracurricular and approved social activities (SeaWorld, etc.). c. All contractor employees shall be appropriately dressed in uniforms that clearly identify the contractor’s name as well as the driver's name. d. The contractor shall have sufficient resources to perform multiple charters simultaneously. e. Buses shall be of the latest model, temperature-controlled with both air conditioning and heating. f. Charter buses with a minimum of forty-seven (47) passenger seating shall be equipped with at least one (1) clean, functioning restroom.
