As one of the largest and most diverse economic hubs in the country, the Gulf Coast region faces significant workforce challenges, including: • Rapid labor market shifts driven by technological advancements, automation, and the energy transition; • Persistent skills gaps in high-demand industries such as healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and information technology; • Barriers to employment for historically underserved populations, including youth, individuals with disabilities, English language learners, and those in rural communities with fewer opportunities; and • Limited career awareness and workforce readiness for persons entering the job market
