The scope of work will include the removal of the vehicular exist from the garage on the 25th Street side, to allow for enclosing this Area to expand the enclosed circulation lobby. The project also includes several improvements to the mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems. Plus, interior finishes refresh of the existing finishes in the pedestrian bridge and garage side vertical core. Improvements will include a new storefront. Floodproofing mitigation shall also be provided for the escalator and elevators. This project is not seeking sustainability accreditation. Along the terminal end-side of the bridge, modifications will be made to the vehicular exit from the existing Terminal GTA (Ground Transportation Area), which includes modifications to the site to accommodate the proposed changes. At the base of the new vertical core on the terminal end-side, partial removal of the vehicular circulation in front of the terminal will be permanently removed to accommodate a new pedestrian plaza to handle the passenger pedestrian floe from and to the cruise terminal back to the proposed vertical circulation core. Improvements shall include a new hardscape.
