Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Austin Electric Utility, dba Austin Energy (AE), seeks proposals to provide technical services in support of the expansion of AEs Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Demand Response (DR) program from the current 2-4 MW to 40-50 MW by 2020 without the use of customer-owned distributed generation. The successful respondent (Contractor) will work with Austin Energy staff to expand customer participation in the existing manually administered C&I DR program, while supporting the development of an AE Automated DR (Auto-DR) system. The Auto-DR system must accommodate Open ADR 2.0 protocols and incorporate a Demand Response Management System (DRMS) to communicate with customers automated load control systems, i.e., Energy Management Systems (EMS) and allow customers to participate in demand response events without manual intervention. AE seeks technical services to support both the expansion of AEs manually administered DR system and the establishment of an AE Auto-DR system.
