Specifications include, but are not limited to: On a weekly basis the vendor shall trim and clean all foliage as necessary, remove debris from soil surface, check soil moisture levels, and water as needed. All plants shall be inspected for insects and disease; affected plants will be removed and replaced with healthy, insect-free plants of the same variety. Plants shall be fertilized monthly. Any additional care necessary for the proper care and maintenance of these plants shall also be performed. Upon arriving at City Hall, technicians must log in at the receptionist’s desk in the Park and Recreation Department in room 6FN. Before leaving City Hall all actions taken such as inspections, watering, insect or disease treatment or replacement shall be noted. Potted plants 1. All plants are to be rotated for reorientation to light. 2. Maintenance procedures shall be of the highest standard and conducted in a manner consistent with the interiorscape industry. All plants maintained by the vendor are to be fully warranted against insects, disease, and poor appearance. 3. Any plant that has visibly depreciated in appearance and no longer meets industry standards shall be replaced immediately with a plant of equal size and light tolerance suitability at the contractor’s expense. 4. The City’s representative reserves the right to reject any plant deemed unsuitable for use, and the plant must be replaced by the contractor within 24-hours with no additional cost to the City. Poinsettia Trees 1. Each year, two flowering red poinsettia trees are to be installed, a. one in the Mayor’s office waiting area at 5EN b. one in the City Council waiting area at 5FN. 2. Each tree will consist of a minimum of twenty-nine (29) 6� red poinsettia plants. These plants are to be watered as needed to prevent wilting and replaced as needed to maintain top floral grade quality. 3. Installation of the poinsettia trees shall be complete on the Monday following Thanksgiving Day, and disassembly and removal shall occur on the first working day following Christmas. 4. The Park and Recreation Department will provide framework for the trees.
