Specifications include, but are not limited to: CCRTA seeks to secure services to procure bus ticket and pass documents for utilization in a Genfare (GEl) Electronic Farebox Odyssey TRIM (Ticket Reader Issuing Machine) , in accordance with attached specifications. GFI Genfare is a wholly owned subsidiary of SPX Corporation, 751 Pratt Boulevard, Elk Grove Village, IL, 60007. Fareboxes and related equipment are installed in CCRTA buses and facilities. Prospective Bidders must demonstrate compatibility with GFI Trim Units. Such tickets and passes are deposited/inserted into the GEl Farebox System and electronically read and accepted as fare payment. The Contractor must hold all information concerning document design and coding in the strictest confidence and will permit access to his/her own employees on a need-to-know basis only. Contractor must cover a 10% -t-/- for estimated amounts of tickets and passes to be printed. In the event that a new ticket or pass is to be printed, prices will be applicable to pricing quoted. Contractor is responsible for highlighting and resolving any ambiguities in this specification. Regardless of specified parameters, Contractor is responsible for ensuring that a given document will be correctly read 99% of the first attempts. This assumes that the document reader has been properly maintained. The Contractor is responsible for encoding all required information into the magnetic stripe on the documents. Encoding data will be provided to the successful Bidder. CCRTA reserves the right to change the fares and other encoding information with 90 day notice before document delivery is required. A. The documents used in the GFI Trim Unit shall be credit card size with the following dimensions: 1. Transfer & Day Pass: Paper Width 2.125 + .005, -.009 Length 3.375 =/- .010 Corner radius: 0.125 +1- .015 Thickness: 0,007 +1- 0.001 2. 7-Day Pass, 31-Day Pass, 31-Day Reduced Pass, 11 Trip Pass & Late Run & BLine Pass: Tpoly Width 2.125 + .005, -.009 Length 3.375 =1- .010 Corner radius: 0.125 +/- .015 Thickness: 0.010 +1- 0.001. Document material for passes and the multi-ride tickets shall be white polyester. Bidders may propose alternates. However, the document shall be suitable for use as follows, provided that these documents are not mutilated or abused by patrons: Rolling Period Pass: at least 300 uses Stored Ride: at least 300 uses Documents must be durable enough to withstand normal use by the patron over the entire valid period without shrinking, peeling, fading or otherwise losing its visual recognition or magnetically encoded characteristics. C. Document material shall be such that the documents shall be accepted reliably in the GEl Trim Unit with normal handling by the public. Document edges, including all corners, shall meet straightness, squareness and parallelism requirements to perform to specifications. The upper left corner is to be cut diagonally, at a 45-degree angle. Documents shall be free of holes, indentations, electrically conducted particles, slime spots or brittle areas and shall not contain residual chemicals, fuzz or loose dust. Both sides of all documents shall be finished with a coefficient of friction that provides for reliable operation on the GEl Trim Unit.
