a. Contractor must have all applicable permits, licenses, and insurance coverage to legally operate a youth camp in the State of Texas. b. Contractor must coordinate and receive approval from HHSC BCVDDP on all camp activities. The camp must provide the following or similar activities at a level appropriate for children who are blind or visually impaired with multiple disabilities and their families: 1. Recreational activities – horseback riding, outdoor cooking, pool, lazy river, warm pool, canoeing, paintball, and archery. 2. Art activities that promote fine motor and social skills. 3. Nature educational discovery, e.g., petting zoo or bird watching. 4. Music recreation. 5. Sports and games. c. Contractor will provide supplies specifically for the camp activities in which campers with combined vision and hearing loss can participate. Contractor may use supplies provided by HHSC BCVDDP at camp if the family allows the child to participate in the camp activity and the family authorizes the use of these supplies for the camp.
