Dallas County Health District dba Parkland Health is seeking an A/E Design Team to convert approximately 2,500 square feet of shell space into a Pediatric Behavioral Health Center Clinic. The A/E Design Team will be responsible for developing bid documents for Parkland’s contractors. These renovations occur adjacent to and within occupied areas and the work described above must occur in a manner that will not disrupt the ongoing daily operations. The goal of the project is to add seven new clinical spaces dedicated to pediatric behavioral health, with flexibility for future conversion into standard pediatric exam rooms. The design will also incorporate additional space to accommodate intake, check-in, and a staff workroom. Creating a safe and welcoming environment for children is a high priority, including the integration of kid-friendly wayfinding elements. Patient privacy will be addressed through effective sound control and acoustic design. The project will also include plumbing infrastructure to support the future addition of sinks. Throughout the design process, security considerations will be carefully integrated to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
