Specifications include, but are not limited to: Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has announced an Airport Expansion and Development Program (AEDP) to accommodate travel needs of the growing Central Texas population. Phase A of the AEDP includes optimization of the Barbara Jordan Terminal (BJT). One of the projects to optimize the terminal is expansion of the west concourse. This project involves extending the west concourse to add approximately 20,200 square feet of new concourse-level space and facilitate the installation of three new additional contact gates with passenger boarding bridges. The concourse extension will include space for passenger circulation and amenities, including gate holdroom space, concessions and restrooms. Airline facilities will include gate agent stations and boarding ticket lift stations. Apron-level space (enclosed area to be determined) created by the concourse extension will be reserved for Airport and airline operations use. As part of the overall BJT Optimization, and at the Owner’s discretion, additional smaller assignments may be included in the CMR’s scope of work.
