This includes but is not limited to installation of the following required signage & field components. Double First base (safety base) All required UIL field signage & safety notices Proper base & pitching rubber alignment per UIL regulations Scoreboard Relocation As part of the renovation, the existing scoreboard must be carefully relocated to a new position as designated by school administration. Contractor responsibilities include: Safely disconnecting electrical & data connections from existing scoreboard Removing scoreboard & any associated mounting structures Site preparation for new scoreboard location including foundation work if needed Reinstalling the scoreboard at the new location Reconnecting power & data lines, ensuring full functionality Testing & verification w/district personnel to confirm proper operation Additional Options and Considerations The following optional upgrades and alternatives should be considered in the contractor’s proposal. Pricing for each item should be listed separately to allow the district to evaluate based on available budget and priorities: Provide and install a portable pitching mound compliant with UIL standards Provide option to install turf batter’s box for enhanced durability and performance Install and provide pricing for replacement of existing chain link fencing if needed Provide options for replacing backstop fencing with safety netting or a concrete wall system Provide an optional bid to install poles and overhead netting for spectator protection Propose alternate backstop designs and provide associated cost estimates and specifications Baseball Field Renovation Project RFP #24-015
