CapMetro requests that the Contractor furnish and install new stationary Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) AEI reader systems at three locations: MP 69.42 (McNeil Dr. grade crossing), MP 71.69 (McNeil Round Rock Rd. grade crossing), and CP Bill, MP 87.46 on the Central Subdivision. Each installation shall include presence detectors, wheel sensors, RFID tag readers, main controllers, cellular modems, power supplies, backup batteries, surge protection, and equipment enclosures. Dual antennas must be installed at each site, positioned on either side of the track to ensure reliable tag reading. The Contractor is responsible for procuring and installing all materials, as well as performing system integration. Commercial power is available at all three locations. All equipment and installations must be suitable for harsh rail environments, ensuring durability and reliable performance under demanding conditions.
