A. The awarded auto body repair facility will perform all auto body repair services in accordance with an outlined appraisal sheet provided by Tarrant County’s consultant/estimator. The estimator will be a member of Independent Auto Damage Appraisers (IADA) or approved equivalent professional association. B. Bidder must have a location within Tarrant County where the body repair will take place. C. Bidder must be able to complete all repairs necessary to restore any vehicle to its pre-damaged condition in terms of, but not limited to, form, fit, finish, appearance, durability, functionality, safety, and value. Bidder must agree to perform all repairs in accordance to the itemized body repair appraisal and/or as modified (in writing) by an authorized Tarrant County employee. If any automotive body repair is found to be unnecessary or additional work is required above the repairs noted on the written estimate, the bidder must notify Tarrant County for approval prior to repairing or deviating from the original appraisal. D. Bidder must use OEM parts during the body repair unless prior approval to use nonOEM parts was made. Non-OEM parts must have the manufacture name with a logo or insignia visible when applicable. Used parts are only acceptable if prior approval has been made. E. Bidder must color match all automotive body repairs per vehicle. Non-color matches or unapproved colors will be repainted at the awarded vendors expense if found unsatisfactory by Tarrant County. F. Bidder will be responsible for the safe storage of all Tarrant County vehicles while at the work site. Tarrant County is not to receive invoices or fees for storing of County vehicles by awarded body and paint repair vendor or subcontractors to the vendor. G. Body repair must not exceed 14 working days after receipt of vehicle. If additional time for the body repair is needed, awarded vendor must contact Tarrant County in writing and get the extended time approved.
