A. Provide in-home family preservation services to address communication barriers, parenting challenges, and family conflict. B. Conduct a comprehensive clinical assessment by a master level clinician, e.g. MSW, or LPC, to determine risk factors, strengths, and specific service needs for youth and families. 1. Evaluate areas such as parenting capacity, youth behavior, family conflict, economic stressors, substance use, and mental health challenges. 2. Develop an Individualized Family Service Plan that outlines specific goals and interventions to be implemented. 3. Collaborate with TCJS staff, probation officers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care. C. Family functioning which is identified as significantly contributing to the offending behavior would be prioritized for intervention. D. At a minimum, program services should include the following: 1. in-home, goal-directed family therapy 2. parenting education and parenting skills training (may be conducted in- home as appropriate) 3. household/living skills development (in-home) 4. coping and problem-solving skills training (for youth and parents) to include topics such as communication, dispute resolution, anger control, cooperation, etc.
