Tarrant County requires professional consulting services for the management of the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) for Tarrant County buildings. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the surveying and sampling of the air and related air handling equipment, sampling of suspect contamination of the walls, floor coverings, furniture, ceiling, or other areas suspicious of causing an IAQ problem. General consulting for the proper management of IAQ and proper procedures to follow should an IAQ problem exist. The Consultant shall write the specifications for abatement or remediation of the affected area and monitor the abatement procedures to confirm the job is performed according to specifications. 2. The Consultant and staff must possess any licenses, training, or other requirements now existing or that may be required now or at a later date by any local, state, or federal government or agency. The proof of these requirements to be on file, by copy, to the Tarrant County Purchasing Department and Facilities Management. 3. All surveys, sampling, and monitoring will be conducted using current laws and/or regulations existing at the time of the award or any laws, rules, or regulations that may come into existence after the awarding of the contract. 4. In the absence of laws, rules, or regulations for IAQ assessments and/or abatement the consultant will make recommendations based on his or her knowledge, experience, and expertise as to procedures to be used in monitoring, sampling, and abatement.
